五年后的今天，我终于将离开这里，摆脱困境，寻找自己新的方向和目标了。个中缘由，不得不向大家交待，以正视听。 five years ago, i joined **. today, i have to escape from here to find a new start. some truth you have to know before my leaving.
不得不承认，**公司曾经是个在环境上令人感觉愉快，协调和没有任何地域，种族和性别歧视的公司;曾经是个在工作上令人积极向上，自觉自愿付出只为达成目标的公司;在管理上令人感觉人性，科学有效的公司;在同事关系上融洽友爱，互帮互助的公司。所有这一切相信也是所有在这里工作了五年以上的员工的共同感受吧?
孰料曾几何时，风云突变;黑云压城，草木变色;奸佞当道，梁断瓦落。所有的优良传统和美好愿望在我身上不复重现。相信大家也会知道，没有万不得已的原因，我为何要离开?没有发生种种不幸的事端，我为何要离开呢?看了下文的罗列，我相信很少有人会不赞同我的决定了：
1) 作为新生儿的母亲，我无法进行正常的休假申请以应对各种突发状况诸如小孩生病等。因为主管规定，必须于一周前提前申报休假，不允许有突发事情的发生。 as a mother of new-born baby, i cannot apply for annual leave to face up any sudden incidents, because my supervisor rules every leave must be applied one week before leaving. no excuse for emergency incidents.
2) 在哺乳期内，我无法享受公司对于哺乳期员工的提前下班的待遇，被主管要求加班，但不允许在oa上事先提交加班申请。因而，我不能获得应得的加班费。 during the breastfeeding period, i cannot get the early leave treatment as other female staff in breastfeeding period. on contrast, i had to work overtime. more the worse, i cannot get my ot salary as my supervisor doesn’t allow me to apply for ot on oa.
3) 为了评价我工作是否及时，是否匹配公司核心价值的依据，我被主管强迫针对每一个工作动作进行精确到秒的计算，直接主管要求我自己掐秒表进行相关计算。在已经进入21世纪的现在，我难道连解放前的包身工还不如吗? in order to evaluate if the efficiency of my work accords with the core value of the company, i was forced to use stopwatch to calculate my every action. i feel myself a slave in the 21st century.
4) 我的直接主管声称，她所定义的工作不做完，不能进行正常的午餐休息。 my supervisor rules i cannot go for lunch if i don’t complete the work she dispatched.
5) 在**公司的五年我一如既往的工作。可是最近半年之中，我瞬间变得一无是处，饱受谩骂和无端的指责。直接主管多次当众对我进行辱骂，问我“是不是外地人?听不懂人话?”之类的粗鄙之言。事后她又拒不道歉，还百般狡辩，不承认半年多来对我的辱骂。 in the past five years, i tried my best to do my job. no cap, no complaints. suddenly, i become nothing and a bad employee when she joined **. she insulted and blamed me many times in public, such as “are you not shanghainese? don’t you understand human language?” when i apply for resign and ask her to apology, she even didn’t committee what she said and what she did.

我想同大家分享一下关于我本人未来计划的一项艰难决定，陈永正的辞职信（中英文）。今天晚些时候，我将宣布从微软公司离任，转入一个全新的领域工作。想到即将告别这份不可思议的工作，离开四年来我有幸在微软遇到的诸位杰出的同事，我心情颇为沉重。
我们共同完成了很多人认为无法完成的工作。在短短的几年里，我们确定了推进微软中华区业务发展的清晰而稳固的战略框架。我们的销售增长了几乎一倍，大中华区的销售收入突破了10亿美元。过去的三年里，在中国大陆，我们将销售(含coverec OEMs)业绩提高了两倍，并为财年实现10亿美元的目标做好了准备。我们将未经授权的电脑使用率(CPU)降低了20多了百分点；新雇用了几百名员工；将业务运营扩展到了中国大陆、香港、台湾15个以上的城市。我们还加强了同客户和合作伙伴的关系，不仅在本地区乃至全球改变了人们看待微软的方式。
最重要的是，我们运用我们的技术帮助中国大陆、香港、台湾许许多多的人改善他们的生活和生计。一路走来。从你们每个人身上，我学到了很多；你们使我无法忘记我在微软经历。

I want to share with you some difficult news about my future plans. Later today, I will announce that I have resigned from Microsoft and will be taking a position in a different filed. It is not without a heavy heart that I contemplate leaving the incredible work and extraordinary people that I have been privileged to encounter during my four years at Microsoft.
Together, we have accomplished what some might have thought could not be done. In a few short years, we have defined a clear and stable strategic framework for Microsoft’s business in the Greater China region. We have nearly doubled sales and have broken through the $1 billion mark in revenue in GCR. In China itself, we have tripled our sales in the last three years. Including those of covered OEMs, and we are posed to hit $ 1 billion in FY08. we have reduced the UPC rate by more than 20%. We have added hundreds of new people and expanded our operations to more than 15 locations across the region. We have strengthened our customer and partner relationships and transformed the way people view Microsoft, not just locally but all around the globe as well.
Most importantly, we’ve been able to use our technology to help improve the lives and livelihood of millions of people throughout the Greater China region. I have learned from each of you along the way and you have made my experience at Microsoft one that I will never forget.
While change always comes with its share of unknowns, there is one thing that I have absolutely no question about, and that is this organization’s ability to continue the great work that we’ve begun. We have a well-thought our transltion plan in place and some of the finest leadership in the team and in our strategy with the Big Rocks plan in place. I have no doubt that in the very near future, Microsoft Greater China region will no longer be talking about breaking through the $1 billion but about the $5 billion mark.
At 4 PM today, we will have an all-hands meeting in the Millennium Building to discuss my plans and the transition in more detail. In the meantime, I’d like to express my deep thanks to every one of you in the Microsoft Greater China region for your hard work and for your contribution to our continued success.

Effective October 1, I will assume the position of director of human resources for XXX, Inc., in Baton Rouge. Therefore, please accept my resignation as benefits and compensation coordinator of the Human Resources Department within AAA Associates, effective September 30.
The decision was a difficult one for me because I have so enjoyed my working relationships here. The job description has given me great latitude in assisting other coordinators within the human resource area, and as a result, I’ve gained skills in several related fields. These cross-training opportunities have been invaluable, and in a much more formal, classroom setting, I’ve been able to take advantage of classes in management, interpersonal skills, writing, and oral presentations. You are fully aware of my problem, Benson. Although I like the company and the people I work with, being on the road for weeks at a time does not appeal to me. I think the situation would be entirely different if I were single or even married with no children. But with two youngsters , traveling represents a real hardship on me and especially on my wife. After each trip it gets increasingly harder for me to treat myself away from my family to go back on the road.
I really have no plans at the moment. I need to take some time to think about what I want to do. I may try to get back into coaching and I’m also considering buying into a local sporting goods store. 陈永正，男，1941年12月出生，字止水，号�b斋。原籍广东茂名，世居广州。1962年毕业于华南师范大学中文系，任广州市第三十六中学语文教师。1978年考取中山大学中文系古文字专业研究生，1981年获文学硕士学位，留校工作。现为中山大学中国古文献研究所研究员、中文系博士生导师，中山大学――香港中文大学华南文献研究中心主任。
陈永正教授多年来从事中国古籍整理和研究工作，重点放在古代诗文的编选、笺注、校点等方面，曾编选过韩愈、李商隐、黄庭坚、秦观、晏殊、晏几道、元好问、高启、黄钟则、王国维以及江西诗派等诗词作家、流派的作品注本、今译本，其中11种由粤、港、台三家出版社联合出版并多次印行。此外还从事岭南地方文献的整理和研究工作。

五年后的今天，我终于将离开这里，摆脱困境，寻找自己新的方向和目标了。个中缘由，不得不向大家交待，以正视听。 five years ago, i joined **. today, i have to escape from here to find a new start. some truth you have to know before my leaving.
不得不承认，**公司曾经是个在环境上令人感觉愉快，协调和没有任何地域，种族和性别歧视的公司;曾经是个在工作上令人积极向上，自觉自愿付出只为达成目标的公司;在管理上令人感觉人性，科学有效的公司;在同事关系上融洽友爱，互帮互助的公司。所有这一切相信也是所有在这里工作了五年以上的员工的共同感受吧?
孰料曾几何时，风云突变;黑云压城，草木变色;奸佞当道，梁断瓦落。所有的优良传统和美好愿望在我身上不复重现。相信大家也会知道，没有万不得已的原因，我为何要离开?没有发生种种不幸的事端，我为何要离开呢?看了下文的罗列，我相信很少有人会不赞同我的决定了：
1) 作为新生儿的母亲，我无法进行正常的休假申请以应对各种突发状况诸如小孩生病等。因为主管规定，必须于一周前提前申报休假，不允许有突发事情的发生。 as a mother of new-born baby, i cannot apply for annual leave to face up any sudden incidents, because my supervisor rules every leave must be applied one week before leaving. no excuse for emergency incidents.
2) 在哺乳期内，我无法享受公司对于哺乳期员工的提前下班的待遇，被主管要求加班，但不允许在oa上事先提交加班申请。因而，我不能获得应得的加班费。 during the breastfeeding period, i cannot get the early leave treatment as other female staff in breastfeeding period. on contrast, i had to work overtime. more the worse, i cannot get my ot salary as my supervisor doesn’t allow me to apply for ot on oa.
3) 为了评价我工作是否及时，是否匹配公司核心价值的依据，我被主管强迫针对每一个工作动作进行精确到秒的计算，直接主管要求我自己掐秒表进行相关计算。在已经进入21世纪的现在，我难道连解放前的包身工还不如吗? in order to evaluate if the efficiency of my work accords with the core value of the company, i was forced to use stopwatch to calculate my every action. i feel myself a slave in the 21st century.
4) 我的直接主管声称，她所定义的工作不做完，不能进行正常的午餐休息。 my supervisor rules i cannot go for lunch if i don’t complete the work she dispatched.
5) 在**公司的五年我一如既往的工作。可是最近半年之中，我瞬间变得一无是处，饱受谩骂和无端的指责。直接主管多次当众对我进行辱骂，问我“是不是外地人?听不懂人话?”之类的粗鄙之言。事后她又拒不道歉，还百般狡辩，不承认半年多来对我的辱骂。 in the past five years, i tried my best to do my job. no cap, no complaints. suddenly, i become nothing and a bad employee when she joined **. she insulted and blamed me many times in public, such as “are you not shanghainese? don’t you understand human language?” when i apply for resign and ask her to apology, she even didn’t committee what she said and what she did.

While change always comes with its share of unknowns, there is one thing that I have absolutely no question about, and that is this organization’s ability to continue the great work that we’ve begun. We have a well-thought our transltion plan in place and some of the finest leadership in the team and in our strategy with the Big Rocks plan in place. I have no doubt that in the very near future, Microsoft Greater China region will no longer be talking about breaking through the $1 billion but about the $5 billion mark.
At 4 PM today, we will have an all-hands meeting in the Millennium Building to discuss my plans and the transition in more detail. In the meantime, I’d like to express my deep thanks to every one of you in the Microsoft Greater China region for your hard work and for your contribution to our continued success.

Effective October 1, I will assume the position of director of human resources for XXX, Inc., in Baton Rouge. Therefore, please accept my resignation as benefits and compensation coordinator of the Human Resources Department within AAA Associates, effective September 30.
The decision was a difficult one for me because I have so enjoyed my working relationships here. The job description has given me great latitude in assisting other coordinators within the human resource area, and as a result, I’ve gained skills in several related fields. These cross-training opportunities have been invaluable, and in a much more formal, classroom setting, I’ve been able to take advantage of classes in management, interpersonal skills, writing, and oral presentations. All of this training has been a worthwhile effort for both AAA (company) and me. 字串9
As I go to the new position, I’ll do so with the utmost respect for the management examples and philosophies learned here and with gratitude for the personal attention to my career growth.

Dear Benson:
I am sure it will come as no surprise to you that I wish to resign my position as a sales representative , effective at your convenience ,but not later than June 12.
You are fully aware of my problem, Benson. Although I like the company and the people I work with, being on the road for weeks at a time does not appeal to me. I think the situation would be entirely different if I were single or even married with no children. But with two youngsters , traveling represents a real hardship on me and especially on my wife. After each trip it gets increasingly harder for me to treat myself away from my family to go back on the road.
I really have no plans at the moment. I need to take some time to think about what I want to do. I may try to get back into coaching and I’m also considering buying into a local sporting goods store. Whatever I wind up doing, it will have to be something that will permit me to stay anchored in one place.
Thank you for everything you have done for me. I really don’t know how I could received better treatment from a company or a manager.

陈永正，男，1941年12月出生，字止水，号�b斋。原籍广东茂名，世居广州。1962年毕业于华南师范大学中文系，任广州市第三十六中学语文教师。1978年考取中山大学中文系古文字专业研究生，1981年获文学硕士学位，留校工作。现为中山大学中国古文献研究所研究员、中文系博士生导师，中山大学――香港中文大学华南文献研究中心主任。
陈永正教授多年来从事中国古籍整理和研究工作，重点放在古代诗文的编选、笺注、校点等方面，曾编选过韩愈、李商隐、黄庭坚、秦观、晏殊、晏几道、元好问、高启、黄钟则、王国维以及江西诗派等诗词作家、流派的作品注本、今译本，其中11种由粤、港、台三家出版社联合出版并多次印行。此外还从事岭南地方文献的整理和研究工作。
曾编选过《康有为诗文选》、《岭南历代诗选》、《岭南历代词选》、《岭南诗歌小志》，主编《岭南文学史》、《屈大均诗词编年笺校》，主持《岭南文献九种》整理，点校大型书籍《国朝诗人征略》两编，参与《陈沣集》、《粤东诗海》的点校，主持全国高校古委会重点项目《全粤诗》的整理工作。
